Behind Mugler
For me, wearing Oriental Express is like sliding into a fur... I decided to exalt the sandalwood-vanilla accord by setting it against carrot and basil, with its green aromatic note. This startling contrast brings alive both women's and men's oriental fragrances, with its unexpected character. Olivier POLGE
The material
Precious oriental fragrances, rich in balm, resin, vanilla and powdery effects, whose potent sensuality becomes an addiction.
Aromatic collision
A crisp heart note of zestful carrot invigorates the legendary sandalwood-vanilla accord, giving it more substance, sumptuousness, and amazing liveliness.
The result: an unusual and profoundly contemporary oriental fragrance.
A refined fragrance with an elegant distinction. I modernized the structure of chypre by fine-tuning its contours more precisely and giving it more color, designing a new shade around this palette to imbue it with unexpected luminosity: the pear blows the cobwebs off this great monument of classic perfumery. Olivier POLGE
The material:
Chypre, the most legendary and noble accord of all, came into being in the early 20th century with the alliance of bergamot, oakmoss, cistus labdanum and patchouli.
Aromatic collision:
Succulent pear brings a surge of sparkling fruity notes to the patchouli; a vibrant and futuristic elegance.
The result: Initially surprising, this sublime harmony epitomizes ultimate sophistication.
t's a resolutely Mugler approach. Playing with the conventions of the genre, taking certain elements from menswear and giving them a twist, daring to go over the top—this credo is applied to fragrances. We have heightened the feminine floral facets of the fougère accord and intensified the contrasts. Jean-Christophe HÉRAULT
The material
"Fougère" is the archetype of men's fragrances, traditionally offering the rich aromatic mix of geranium, oakmoss and Tonka bean.
Aromatic collision
Neroli, a true incarnation of feminine purity, brings sensual floral notes that disrupt the virile character of fougère and interweave with the voluptuously overdosed Tonka bean and amber, completely reinventing the genre...
The result: an outrageously sensual, highly addictive experience that turns convention on its head.
A fragrance of seduction and temptation When I combined notes of incense and amber, I was imagining a hyacinth full of audacity, far from the flower's figurative, romantic image. Supra Floral is a fragrance of seduction for women—and of temptation for men. Olivier POLGE
The material
Hyacinth, a bold and unique flower that symbolizes sophisticated femininity.
Aromatic collision
Incense, an age-old ingredient of magical potency, captures the delicacy and crispness of the hyacinth with its fiery temperament.
The result: an absolutely explosive sensuality. A return to the future of floral fragrance.
Sometimes simplicity reveals a wealth of nuances. Over The Musk explores the light side of sensuality. From a soft and white cashmere to one that is velvety and powdery, the story is all about irresistible sex appeal. Jean-Christophe HÉRAULT
The material
Modern musk with more sweet and transparent notes.
Aromatic collision
Ambrette seeds from hibiscus transform the musk, creating a natural wildness and an uncompromising sensuality.
The result: a voluptuous overdose.
Cuir Impertinent - The 6th Creation Cuir impertinent is the product of an olfactory collision between the darkness of tanned leather and an unexpected explosion of colour: star anise.
That invigorating green note, which acts as an aromatic flash, lends modern addiction for a perfumed chiaroscuro of insolent sensuality.
I like leather notes and how sensually they linger in the wake of a fragrance. I thought it would be interesting to combine such a powerful base note with a touch of star anise. This novel accord creates a harmony of contrasts. The aromatic aniseed freshness of this spice plays a big role in enhancing certain aspects of the leather. Star anise acts as an agent of green freshness, adding nuances to the dark and sensual depth of the leather. Jean-Christophe HÉRAULT
The material
Leather, a classic note in perfume-making, brings to mind Russia and the galloping cavalcades of Siberian horsemen.
Aromatic collision
Star anise, a genuine color explosion, acts as a flash of light through the darkness of tanned leather. Its surging note of green adds lively freshness.
The result: brazen sensuality, a modern addiction, all the insolence of a leather with an aromatic freshness.
With its combination of woody, spicy and animal facets, ingredients as rich as Oud Wood are a rarity.
"I've used superb natural raw materials to bring out the facets I like most and create a composition of great character. To soften its animalic dimension, I balanced it with Osmanthus blossom, which adds a sophisticated touch of soft suede and succulent fruit reminiscent of apricots or juicy plums" says Jean-Christophe HÉRAULT.
A "Cologne" style, is traditionally full of invigorating freshness, a concentrate of citrus fruits, petitgrain and orange blossom, to energize the senses. But Jean-Christophe HÉRAULT go further: "Eau de Cologne has always been associated with cleanliness, reassuring comfort and sometimes, childhood memories. I wanted to shake up this rather humdrum image by introducing a note of green coffee. This happy mayhem provokes the senses with its lively temperament and sophisticated signature".
Aromatic collision: A heady cocktail of spices (ginger and cardamom) and an overdose of green coffee shake up the Cologne's structure. Its refined notes lend warmth and add texture and bite
Result: A provocative sillage. A disconcerting signature.
Wonder Bouquet, the collection’s ninth creation, unveils a medley of white flowers wrapped in unexpected gustatory notes that are singular in perfumery. With its luminous floral bouquet, Wonder Bouquet highlights the white flower and its different nuances, through three emblems: the fresh and candid lily of the valley note incarnates youth and innocence. Overdosed in the creation, the orange blossom absolute embodies the age of reason, since this immaculate flower is traditionally associated with marriage. And finally, the opulent and more emotionally intoxicating sambac jasmine absolute.
Midday, under the sun. A breeze combs through the scrubland and its aromas. In this imaginary garden in Provence, the shadow of the trees invites peace and tranquility, while the aromas hone the dreamer’s perception. The surroundings are calm. At the heart of the provincial scenery are a bunch of green leaves that, though crumpled, are powerful and invigorating, an overload of precious ingredients mixed together: basil, clary sage, thyme, and oregano. None of them blow away, the heart is united for excess.
