Choosing the Right Bra
Ready to try on: adjustments and final checks
To ensure that your bra fits properly, adjust the clasp onto the second hook.
Straps should be adjusted to give a firm but comfortable uplift to the bust. You should be able to run one finger smoothly under each strap.
To ensure that straps have been adjusted for proper bust projection, look at your bust profile in a mirror. Your bust should project forward; the middle of the breast should be at a 90 degree angle with the floor and the fullest part of your bust should fall approximately at the middle point between your shoulder and elbow.
Adjusting hooks and straps is the key to finding the best fit.
Ensure that the back underband fits straight across the back, anchored just below the shoulder blades, and does not ride up. You should be able to easily slip a finger under the band at the base of the cup.
The cup surface should appear smooth. If your cups runneth over and your breasts bulge out, you need a bigger cup size.
If the bust sags and the straps dig into your shoulders, adjust them or select a bra with wider straps.
The best way to assess the overall look of the bra is to try it on with an item of clothing on top.
