All about hairstyle > Bun meets chic or casual
Today’s Hollywood starlets (or at least their hair stylists) seem to have become masters in the art “easy chic” when it comes to their hair. The final result – the one seen on the red carpet of numerous movie premieres – is the charming combination of a hairstyle that is polished yet left to its own devices. Aim for a look that is perfectly imperfect! Think Kate Hudson... always feminine and a stand out, without the appearance of a care in the world.
Wash and condition hair to gently cleanse and help protect each hair’s cuticle for smoothness.
Blow dry hair with a medium round brush for added lift at the root.
Beginning at the crown of the head, wrap two-inch sections of hair into rollers, working toward the back of the head.
For the front section of hair, use the same technique, placing rollers from ear to ear.
Remove rollers. Using fingers, distribute a dime-size of Smooth Serum through hair so that curls stay defined.
Part hair to one side and gather back portion of hair, securing into a low pony-tail with a hair elastic.
Wrap two-inch pieces of hair around finger and pin curls into pony tail to create a loose bun of curls (as pictured).
For finishing touches, you have many options depending on your own style or the occasion. For a classic look, sweep front section of hair to the desired side and blend into back of hair, covering ear and secure with bobby pins.
Pull out a few tendrils on each side and apply Smooth Serum on ends to smooth frizz and tame flyaways.
Finish with an all over spray – Flexible Hold - for a do that will last the day.
For a more casual look, place a strand of hair from the front on the desired side, running it just along the top of the ear; secure it to the bun at the rear, with the help of pins.
On the other side, let a nice, big, curly strand fall loose.
Apply Smooth Serum on ends to smooth frizz and tame flyaways.
Finish with an all over spray – Flexible Hold - for a do that will last the day.
Bring the front section of hair towards to back, securing it to the bun with the help of pins. If you have a layered haircut, you can use it to your advantage and let a couple of strands fall loosely around your face (making sure things aren’t too symetrical!).
You can even split your hair with a strand of hair held tightly toward the back and one to the side.
Apply Smooth Serum on ends to smooth frizz and tame flyaways.
Finish with an all over spray – Flexible Hold - for a do that will last the day.
This collection of smooth operators penetrates deep into the cuticle to turn rough hair smooth and silky, giving you the sleek, glossy hair you desire.
