Choosing the Right Bra > Can I sleep in it?

I didn't just invent a new style… I simply rediscovered the night bra. At one time, not so long ago, women concerned about their appearance wore them faithfully. Then came women's liberation and this particular item of lingerie fell by the wayside. Breasts were delighted… but some were setting themselves up for a fall! Creators of women's undergarments had to become magicians in order to restore the lost curves. But thanks to them, these days we have comfortable styles to wear under our nighties.
When we're standing, a bra is essential to prevent the weight of our breasts from stretching fragile skin ligaments. But when we lie down, a bra becomes useless according to some women, since our breasts are no longer prone to the effect of gravity. But it depends on whether you're small-chested or have larger breasts, as well as on the way you sleep.

Now nothing can stop you from sleeping in whatever you please, and in whatever makes you comfortable. Some sleep wearing nothing but a few drops of perfume, à la Marilyn Monroe, others in pajamas, other in a night shirt, socks, etc.

To avoid

• The top photo illustrates all you must avoid
• underwires
• overly-tight support which will compress the rib cage

• lace, which gets imbedded in your skin

Opt for

• a stretchy, light, breathable fabric: cotton or micro-fiber
• wider straps
• hooks are well cushioned under the band
• Medium-size bottom band - too tight, it inhibits breathing; too wide and it tends to roll up
• Cups with good coverage so that your breasts don't try to escape from their nightcaps!
