Cocoa Butter Cream for Hands and Feet
Cocoa Butter Cream for Hands and Feet
A beauty recipe from the Hershey Spa in Pennsylvania
Jacline Laflèche
Cold weather, manual laboor, repeated immersion of our hands into water when washing clothes or dishes, shoes, even walking… we sometimes forget that these are all factors that hurt our hands and feet, making them rough, chapped and calloused. This is an easy and wonderful treatment that sloughs away dead cells, provides deep nourishment to new ones, and leaves your skin feeling soft and revitalized.
Ingredients
- 125 ml (1/2 cup) almonds
- 125 ml (1/2 cup) oatmeal
- 4 tbsp. cocoa butter
- 3 tbsp. honey
Method
- First grind the almonds in a blender or coffee grinder;
- in a bowl, combine the oatmeal, cocoa butter, honey and almonds;
- generously coat your hands and feet with this mixture, rubbing them lightly;
- put on wool gloves and socks; leave on overnight;
- in the morning, rinse off with clear water.
