Ayurveda

Ayurveda means "The Science of Long Life“, is more than 5000 years old and considered to be India’s oldest healing science, one of the oldest in the world.

Traditional Ayurveda methods combine almost perfectly with the modern, holistic healing techniques which analyse and encompass a complete picture of a single person, his physical, emotional and spiritual characteristics. In Ayurveda there are a large number of therapeutic strategies which help to maintain the balance of health in the body or recreate it.

According to Ayurveda, our good health is provided through the balance of the bodily functions:

  • digestion,
  • metabolism,
  • excretion

as well as the balance of the 3 basic types of bio-energy:

  • Vata
  • Pitta
  • Kapha

Diet and lifestyle play an important role in completing the holistic cycle of Ayurvedic treatments and massage.
