Acne > Some advices
Don't touch
Keep hands away from areas that show signs of irritation. Don't handle, squeeze or pick at pimples: doing so will not only spread harmful bacteria to other pores but can also cause skin to scar. Trying to pop pimples on your own can drive acne bacteria deeper into the skin.
Chocolate, fries, pizza... Neither friends nor foes
Acne is not caused by eating chocolate, greasy foods or bad hygiene. It is caused by simply growing up — puberty and pimples seem to go hand in hand. No study has yet shown that following a strictly controlled diet can prevent breakouts.
Keep skin contact to a minimum
Be sure to wash your hair frequently. When hair comes in contact with the face, it can leave an excess of sebum, often the cause of breakouts, on the skin - especially on the forehead and in those areas bordering the hairline.
Day after day
According to Dr. Lydia Evans, L'Oréal's consulting dermatologist, she often see patients stop treating breakouts as soon as the extent of the problem diminishes, only to see the problem return just as quickly.
To keep the complexion looking healthy, without clogged pores or redness, roughness or dryness, it's absolutely essential to count on a daily cleansing and care routine that's effective enough to protect the skin's natural beauty.
