All About Feet

Feet are subject to a constant barrage of environmental and physical influences that can cause discomfort and pain. But as the body part furthest from the face, feet are often neglected, despite having the important role of supporting the rest of the body. It is no wonder 75 % to 80 % of North Americans will experience foot problems at some point of their lives.

On an average day, people take between 4,000 and 6,000 steps. In a lifetime, that equates walking 3 times around the earth. Feet bear the weight of the body, and when pushing off to take a step, this amounts to over 275% of the body's weight. This pressure increases when running, with the feet absorbing up to 110 tons of force per mile.
