The Pantone's color of the year 2024 is... Peach Fuzz
A new vision of the peach family
Pantone has recently unveiled "Peach Fuzz" as the color of the year for 2024. When asked about the decision, Executive Director Leatrice Eiseman says, “we chose a color radiant with warmth and modern elegance. A shade that resonates with compassion, offers a tactile embrace, and effortlessly bridges the youthful with the timeless.” Pantone predicts that this color will be found in all aspects of our lives- whether it be through fashion, interior design, art, pop culture and more.
While this is likely a color you have in your wardrobe already in this captivating shade, shopping is always a good idea and makes us happy. The warm and elegant essence of this Pantone Color of the Year promises to infuse a sense of modern sophistication into the upcoming season's fashion landscape. Designers are anticipated to incorporate "Peach Fuzz" into a myriad of clothing items, from flowing dresses and tailored suits to casual streetwear, creating a harmonious blend of youthful exuberance and timeless appeal.
Now that you know the color of the year, all you need to know is how to make it your own. The best thing is to mix the colors. So, what colors should Peach Fuzz pair with?
Neutrals:
Pair Peach Fuzz with neutrals such as white, gray, beige or black to create a balanced and elegant look.
Soft contrasts:
Create soft contrasts with complementary shades like mint, sea green or light blue.
Tone on tone:
Opt for a color palette in the same family as Peach Fuzz, choosing lighter or darker shades.
Metal accents:
Pair Peach Fuzz with metallic accents like rose gold or copper for a touch of sophistication.
Start with accessories that are easier to wear. Depending on your tastes, opt for a coat, a sweater, a t-shirt, leggings, shoes, a hat... You can even look at your mother's or grandmother's jewelry. You might have some surprises.
For 25 years, the Pantone Color of the Year has influenced product creation and purchasing decisions across a multitude of industries, including fashion, interior design, industrial design, as well as packaging and graphics.
